Student Youth Travel Association elects Kirk Troen as New President

The Student and Youth Travel Association (SYTA®), a leading trade association and “The Voice of Student and Youth Travel®” has elected Kirk Troen as President of the Board of Directors.

Kirk has served SYTA in other leadership roles over the past few years, including the membership development committee, professional development committee, and as Vice President during 2008-2009. He is the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner of World Projects Corporation, headquartered in Benicia, California.

New York International Music Festival at Carnegie Hall April 17 - 21, 2010
Open to choral & instrumental groups!

For this first time, we have opened this festival to all performing ensembles, allowing entire music departments the opportunity to share the excitement of performing in a world-class venue together.

The Statue of Liberty - Perform in New York

Highlights of the festival include afternoon adjudicated performances and featured evening showcase performances in Carnegie Hall. Groups will also have the opportunity to perform at an outdoor venue such as the Central Park Bandshell (TBC - weather permitting), enjoy an evening dinner dance/cruise along the Hudson River, and take in the many sights of New York City. The ‘Windy City’ is well known for its strong performing arts culture, having produced many mainstream music artists and genres as well as being home to one of the nation's oldest and most respected orchestras – the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
