The Pacific Basin Music Festival provides the wonderful opportunity of an international festival in the beautiful tropical setting of Hawaii. Open to bands, orchestras, and choirs, the festival has been bringing together music students from all around the Pacific Rim for 30 years.

In celebration of our 30th Anniversary, the Pacific Basin Music Festival is going to be bigger! Join us to experience some wonderful music, perform with others, and experience everything that Hawaii has to offer!

During the festival, the performing ensembles are able to not only perform for each other, but also with each other during the reading exchanges and select choir performance. The festival also offers social opportunities for the participants by providing a seated Welcome Dinner followed by a dance as well as a Farewell Luau for all groups attending. Come spend a week filled with musical performances, workshops and social events all with the focus of cultural exchange.

WASBE Conference 2015 including Fringe Festival

The 16th WASBE Conference!

World Projects is pleased to announce, in conjunction with the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE), that the 2015 WASBE Conference will be taking place in San Jose, California, July 12th – 18th. Registration to attend the WASBE Conference opens July 1, 2014.

San Jose State University will host the various lectures, clinics and meetings as well as repertoire sessions in the School of Music and Dance Concert Hall.

In addition, World Projects will be able to offer your group a number of performance opportunities outside of the conference itinerary, including performances at Disneyland for the park guests, Seaport Village in San Diego and AT&T Park in San Francisco for a Major League Baseball game featuring the San Francisco Giants.

A 2015 WASBE Conference Tour can be tailored to include many other US destinations before and/or after the conference so your group can undertake in additional activities, sightseeing and/or performances and workshops. Contact us here so that we could plan your tour now!

Fringe Festival

During the WASBE 2015 Conference, World Projects will also be hosting the WASBE Fringe Festival that is taking place during the WASBE Conference. Those attending the Fringe Festival will have the option to sightsee around San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Cruz, and many other locations around the Bay Area. Also, it will include getting to attend some of the WASBE Conference evening concerts being held at the California Theater.
