Celebrating its 27th year in 2016, the Australian International Music Festival, July 3-10, 2016, is one of our largest and most diverse events. With an average of 900-1,300 participants each year, we regularly have groups from Australia, China, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the U.S., providing a fantastic musical and cultural experience.
A highlight of the Australian International Music Festival is a performance in the Concert Hall ofthe world-famous Sydney Opera House -- a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered by some to be the Eighth Wonder of the World.
In addition to a performance at the Sydney Opera House, groups will have the opportunity to perform at Sydney Town Hall or Angel Place City Recital Hall as part of an adjudicated concert, paneled by world-class music educators and clinicians.
St. Andrew's Cathedral plays host to a Festival Choral Concert, and instrument ensembles have the opportunity to present an outdoor pops-style concert at Darling Harbour's Harbourside Amphitheatre with the Sydney skyline as the backdrop.
Groups have a chance to work closely with Festival faculty members and also interact through either rehearsal exchanges for instrument ensembles or participation in the Festival Massed Choir for choral ensembles.
Groups that attend the Australian International Music Festival will, of course, also have the opportunity to enjoy all that Sydney has to offer. Some highlights include Circular Quay, the historic Rock's District, the Royal Botanical Gardens, Paddy's Market, Darling Harbour and much more!
World Projects can arrange travel to other cities in Australia, such as Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns/Port Douglas and the nation's capital, Canberra, as well as New Zealand.
In addition to performance setup, promotion, and festival coordination, World Projects will also handle all of your air and ground arrangements including hotels, meals, transportation, and sightseeing with experienced local guides.
