The Chicago International Music Festival, April 2 - 6, 2015, with adjudicated performances at the Chicago Symphony
Center is now taking applications.
Chicago Symphony Center
The ‘Windy City’ is well known for its strong performing arts culture, having produced many mainstream music artists and genres as well as being home to one of the nation's oldest and most respected orchestras the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. As well as the musical highlights, Chicago offers a plethora of cultural and educational opportunities to student groups.
Built in 1904 and renovated in the late 1990’s, Chicago Symphony Center is a premier performance venue for all types of performing ensembles. Home to a variety of performance spaces, Orchestra Hall (Armour Stage) will act as the main performance venue for the Chicago International Music Festival.
The Chicago Skyline at Night
In addition to a performance at Orchestra Hall in the Chicago Symphony Center, groups will also have the opportunity to
attend a workshop by a member of the Festival faculty, and attend a performance by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Center.
Ample time is provided in the Festival schedule to enjoy the highlights of Chicago such as visiting one or two of the many world class museums on offer (such as the Field Museum), exploring Navy Pier, experiencing breathtaking views of the city from the Skydeck or ledge of the Willis Tower, Lake Michigan and beyond as well as enjoy the shopping along the Magnificent Mile.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate musical excellence at this new event proudly produced by World Projects. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance in making this journey a reality for your group.
